Well, I guess after this
page_label = gtk_label_new("Client");
gtk_notebook_append_page(GTK_NOTEBOOK(notebook), vbox0, page_label);
gtk_box_pack_start(GTK_BOX(vbox), notebook, TRUE, TRUE, 0);
the page exists, right?
So, there is really something missing? What is it?
Thanks,

As i looked you set a page's content by giving a GtkWidget to
gtk_notebook_append_page.
I expect you may focus this Widget, for example with
gtk_window_set_focus .
