GTK for win32 cannot use stdio???

I just download GTK for win32 , developing win32 GTK 
applications using VC++ GUI.
But what i am wondering is ... many stdio functions cannot
work???
(It's ok to compile , but no reaction for running!)

Such like ... printf、file read/write doesn't work!

Could someone give me a guide?
