GtkTipQuery

hi
i am making an application , which include GtkMenu , GtkMenubar i.e. main
menu
i have added GtkToolTip to main menu..
all gtkmenuitem has private text...
when i uses "What is this?"(connected to GtkTipQuery) to show private text
of gtkmenuitem within the menu. it donot show anything..
as "what is this?" take the widget which is first clicked by the mouse..
 it consider menuitem on the menu bar as source..it cannot able to reach
the menuitems within menu..
tell how can i add this thing to widgets within menu..
