lookup_widget

hey guys

Thanks for your replies regarding the glade and dialogs. i have another 
problem. I have created a window using Glade

Window
          - Gnome Menu Bar
          - Scrolled Window
                    - Viewport
                            -EventBox
                                   -Image

i am not able to get the pointer to any of the widgets using lookup_widget. 
I write the code in one of the menu item activate callbacks. It gives an 
error saying that it couldnt find the widgets. Could u help me out.
