I think you mean gtk on framebuffer, isn't it? I run some apps on it, 
but widget had a poor appearance; instead, TinyX will allow your gtk-app 
to use themes (even if soft-float has a sensitive impact on widget 
loading time); btw, I'm not sure framebuffer support is still in 2.6 
series (last time I used it wad a 2.0.something).

Another possibility could be directFB, but I don't know well about it.
