On GtkTreeModelFilters

Hi !
Again a question on treemodels : I saw that the GtkTreeModelFilters
where introduced in gtk 2.4 but is documented only in 2.6
Does this mean that the feature should be considered as experimental in
2.4 ? or can I rely on it ?
