get the path of folder

hi;

i am doing gui application using gtk, c. no scripting languages. now i
want to know functionality to get the path of a folder, and the selected
folder path has to be displayed in the list.

-> by selecting the folder and clicking ok button on the fileselection
widget the folder path has to be displayed in list view widget, what
functionality is needed to implement this. any sample codes.
