Pango attributes to text

Hi,

Is there any API which is equivalient to 

gtk_label_set_attributes( GTK_LABEL(label),
PangoAttrlist *list );

wherein I can apply the attribute list to multiline
text editor.

Using the above API, I am able to apply only to a text
which is
part of the label.
