VSeperator moving to front.

Hi all,
    I am using gtkvseperator. But I am facin a problem. I have a text
field also in the window. The seperator line always goes behing the
text field. I tried to place the code after that of edit box also. But
it is of no use.

Can anybody let me know how to bring the seperator line

1) In front of all widgets.
2) In front of a specific widget.
