playing wav files

Hello.

I have gtk+ application, and want to add abilitty to play wav files into it.
When user push buttons and so on.

I found that there is gnome_sound_play, but this function from
gnome library not from gtk+, if I use this way, it add to my applicatioin
too many dependencies.

May be there is another variant?
