Please explain what and where I get the equivalent to libgnome for windows.
(tongue in cheek:) From Microsoft? See
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp
There are dozens of different native technologies/APIs of various age and
elegance on Windows that as a whole are "equivalent" to GNOME... Isn't the
whole point of GNOME, if seen from a high enough perspective, to bring
Windows style functionality to Unix?
I.e. the "equivalent" to libgnome is all those technologies,
Win32/MFC/VisualThisAndThat/COM/OLE/ActiveThisAndThat/etc that native Windows
applications use.
But I guess that wasn't really the answer that you were asking for...
You are correct, that is not the answer I was looking for. I want to be able to
build on both Windows and Linux and not have to alter the code any more, if any,
than necessary.
