using gtkplot in gnomecanvas

hi, 

I am developing a data plotting application.  I have
built the entire gui framework in GNOME canvas.  Now I
want to get the data in realtime and plot it on the
canvas in (x,y) format. Which will be the best way to
do this. Is gnomecanvasplot will be suitable. If yes
how to do that? can any one guide me please...
