Newbie question

Hi,

I'm trying to realize a simple calculator, just to
learn using GTK+ (with anjuta/glade/C).

I'm using a GtkEntry widget as a display, but I'm not
able to set the text output correctly: for example,
when  
I press the button "1", the display shows "1";
pressing it twice the display should of course show
"11" and so on: how can I get this?

Any help will be appreciated,
