Some keys on keyboard work in Windows but donot work on Unix

Hello,

 I am using gtk2.0.2. In the text widgets, the Caps Lock and Enter Key donot work. However , when I type in Shift and enter a charater, it apperars as uppercase.

I donot have this problem on Windows. Its only on Unix.

So, how is it different on Unix?? Please help me resolve this issue.
