Though i like the WiW, But i'm using a gtknotebook In all my apps. just 
not to be flamed ;)

That's a very old thing, I remember contacting the author about a bug 
that caused a "floating point exception" when trying to tile the 
widgets while no widgets exist
But i had no reply.

Attached a diff to fix this.
