Hi... I've found an implementation[1] of Window-in-Window multiple document interface for GTK. It's far away from being completed (there's no z-order, all windows have focus and there's no child menus), but it works and is under the GPL. Think twice before using this kind of stuff in your programs. Sometimes tabbed windows or one-window-per-document is better and less confusing than a window-in-window metaphor.
Though i like the WiW, But i'm using a gtknotebook In all my apps. just not to be flamed ;) That's a very old thing, I remember contacting the author about a bug that caused a "floating point exception" when trying to tile the widgets while no widgets exist But i had no reply. Attached a diff to fix this. -- ---------------- -- Katoob Main Developer Linux registered user # 224950 ICQ # 58475622 FIRST make it run, THEN make it run fast "Brian Kernighan". -- Don't send me any attachment in Micro$oft (.DOC, .PPT) format please Read http://www.fsf.org/philosophy/no-word-attachments.html Preferable attachments: .PDF, .HTML, .TXT Thanx for adding this text to Your signature
