Question: Line numbers in Text View

Hello List,

I want to access line number in my text view area ( text editor) when I 
click on that particular line in the text area.  I have not found any 
way for solution. I would  be grateful, if anyone can tell me how 
should  I solve this or which API should I  search for this problem.
