This solution works well :)
Maxim Koshelev has also the same solution with GTD colors. Then Martyn
Russel pointed out for the transparancy stuff.. Great! :)

Anyway:
So now I have a cell colored when the value is higher than for example
5. In the end it's rather simple, but that trick with
gtk_tree_view_column_add_attribute.. you have to know that one!

Just for reference, here is my snapshot of my code:
