problem with gnome_vfs_directory_list_load

hello

why this doesnt work? i am still confused, whats the problem...:

result = gnome_vfs_directory_list_load(
                        &list,
                        "/",
                        GNOME_VFS_FILE_INFO_FOLLOW_LINKS );

the compiler will return: new.c:21: incompatible types in assignment

i am using gnome-vfs-2.0
