Hi all,
Speaking about runtime options (although it could be seen as a user
problem rather than a developper problem, in fact, it is a developper
problem -for me at least :) -), pango with Xft backend seem to scale
fonts based on screen resolution/dpy which could lead to strange results
sometimes (e.g. fixed window manager title height)
Is that behaviour avoidable (easily :) ) from the gtk+ application ?
It's a system feature, not an application feature. It would be bad
form for a single application to deviate from the system
configuration.
To specify a fixed Xft resolution, set the Xft.dpi X resource to the
desired value - Red Hat 8 uses a fixed esolution of 96.
Regards,
Owen
