Yep, I call gtk_init in the beginning of my program.  When I run it in
ddd, this is what I get after trying to call gtk_tree_store_new:
"Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
0x4000958b in fixup () from /lib/ld-linux.so.2"

I don't know if that helps or not.
