Old GtkCList had some routines for fast searching any row by data,
gtk_clist_set_row_data
gtk_clist_get_row_data
Those functions don't search, do they? They just get/set row data.
See the answer here:

gtk_tree_model_get needs a iterator as parameter. So as far as I can
understand there is no
function to get row by data (like gtk_clist_find_row_from_data) in new
tree model.
Or I'm wrong?
