Clearing Combo Box contents

Hi All,
I want to clear the contents of combobox and reload it when the window
gets focus, and I'm using gtk_combo_set_pop_down_strings to do this, but
the combo is not getting updated with the new strings, when I print the
list, on the console it prints.
is there any other way to reload the combobox strings, and show that.
