How to get a particular root menu from a menubar

HI,

I would like to know how to get a particular root menu from a menubar as in 
my application I have plugins which when loaded add a new menu to the menubar 
and should remove this menu when unloaded.  

I've looked at the API and found g_menu_detach which should do the job but 
there is nothing on how to get a particular menu from the menu bar.
