gtk_socket_steal

Hi

I've got a small problem:
I'm trying to put a window into a gtk-socket using gtk_socket_steal.
When I tried to steal a window from my own application
(a fileselection window) everything worked fine. But when i'm trying to 
steal
a window from other applications (for example a window from mines-game)
nothing happens.

Could you please help me ? ;)
