Strange

Hi.

I have written GProFTPD wich is a frontend to Proftpd, and im having a
little problem with one thing.

When i start the application from a desktop shortcut or from the GNOME menu
it shows a wrong on/offline status,
but when i start it with ./GProFTPD it works ok.

What can the problem be and how can i correct it ?
