gtk & gcc3.0.1

Hi,

I have found a bug in gcc2.95.3 which will not be fixed ,so am being forced 
to move to gcc3.0.1.

I therefore have two questions.

1. Has anyone encountered any issues using version 3.0.1 with gtk

2. I am building gcc3.0.1. I use pthreads in my gtk app. There is 
   a thread option (--enable-threads) for configuring gcc3.0.1 What
   should the option be set to (I have to build both solaris and linux
   versions).
