Is there any more gtk documentation other than on gtk.org?
There's books you can buy. There's also the online book called
the GGAD:
http://developer.gnome.org/doc/GGAD/
I need to determine what the realize signal and
gtk_widget_realize/unrealize functions do but the documentation
doesn't have descriptions of those.
Read this:
http://developer.gnome.org/doc/GGAD/sec-widgetindetail.html
There's a section in there that talks about realization. But
basically, when a Widget is realized it gets a GdkWindow.
(Note that I said GdkWindow and NOT GtkWindow! A GdkWindow
is basically a 'window' from the X Window System.) There's
more to realization though, so read about it at that link.
See ya
