I tried to register a callback for key_release_event associated with a
text widget using gtk_signal_connect(). But it did not seem to work. I
am using GTK 1.2.
You might need to add key_release event to the list
of monitored events. See these examples:
Carlos
gtk_widget_add_events (GTK_WIDGET (text_widget), GDK_KEY_RELEASE_MASK);
gtk_widget_set_events (GTK_WIDGET (gl_area), GDK_EXPOSURE_MASK |
GDK_BUTTON_PRESS_MASK | GDK_BUTTON_RELEASE_MASK |
GDK_POINTER_MOTION_MASK | GDK_POINTER_MOTION_HINT_MASK |
GDK_KEY_PRESS_MASK | GDK_KEY_RELEASE_MASK);
