spin buttons

Hi,
        I use spin buttons in fixed sizes windows. The problem is that the
precision
needed for those variables is quitte high ( 5 or 6 digits ) and i can't see
the whole
value. I'd like the spin button to display those digits only when they are
sigificant
i.e. truncate zeros. Is it possible ?
