Dear Wolfgang,
I understand.
You might be able to do something by tweaking the event mask for the
button, and then intercepting the event signal.
There's some more information on tweaking the event mask here:

I have never done this myself.
Take care,

Subject: Insensitive buttons
Hi,
I would like to know whether there is a way or not to override the
insensitiveness of buttons by catching mouse events (clicks), even if
they don't take effect on the widget itself.
I have tried many methods without any success so maybe there are
alternatives ?
Wolfgang
