id use the gnode functions:
GNode* gtk_ctree_export_to_gnode (GtkCTree *ctree,
GNode *parent,
GNode *sibling,
GtkCTreeNode *node,
GtkCTreeGNodeFunc func,
gpointer data);
GtkCTreeNode* gtk_ctree_insert_gnode (GtkCTree *ctree,
GtkCTreeNode *parent,
GtkCTreeNode *sibling,
GNode *gnode,
GtkCTreeGNodeFunc func,
gpointer data);
basically export to a gnode, then import the gnode in the other ctree.

Hello.
Is there a easy way to remove a node from one ctree and insert it in another
ctree? The child nodes should also be moved. (gtk 1.2.8)
Markus.
