gnome sound init

Hi, (my english is poor)
I am developing an app which needs sound . Using gnome_sound_init and
gnome_sound_play
in the app with Debian all works fine , but when I try to run in Red Hat
7.1 , I can't obtain sound
In RH the sound "in general " (events like close windows and so on)
works fine
