how to load Pango Markup into GtkTextBuffer?

Is there an easy way to load Pango Markup into a GtkTextBuffer?

Or do i need to do it myself -- create the appropriate GtkTextTags, scan
the string with a GMarkup parser, and insert chunks piece by piece?
