newbie questions - Combo Box and Case sensitivity

folks,

Is it true that the ComboBox widget is "Case Insensitive"? When I try to
enter words with Upper Case etc, it appears that they are automatically
turned into lower case.

If this is not the case, then I will dig deeper into my code.
