I am new to gThumb and this email list. Please forgive my ignorance.
Not knowing where to find the answers to these questions, I am posting to this list. If there is a better way for me to find answers to these sorts of questions, I will use that method.
Here are my questions.
1. I have a hierarchy of pictures. It is my understanding that gThumb will not alter the layout I already have. The only modifications it will make to that hierarchy are to individual files I may edit. Is all of that true?
You mean, in the file system? What do you mean by "layout"?
2. Where does gThumb store its files? I want to be sure that they are being backed up, and I move all of the correct files if I move to a new machine.
Do you mean the pictures or gThumb's configuration files? The pictures are stored whereever you like. The configuration is in ~/.config/gthumb.
3. I have many usage questions. Is there a manual?
Thank you!
Blake McBride
Bye, Volker
