For list mail that you only see in the archive, I think you can only copy/paste the elements you need into a new list email, tho it might not get threaded with the original in the archive.

Hello, in my mail program I can say "Answer to list" (or something similar), that's how I replied to your post.
Some documentation can be found in an article I wrote in the spring of 2019 about an earlier version of gThumb. I guess most of the things are still valid, maybe you'll find it helpful.
