[gthumb-list] Cinnamon and gthumb main menu

It seems that gthumb is written in such a way that in gnome (and unity?) its main menu is normally invisible and is shown when the mouse goes near the top left corner.

Cinnamon doesn't manage this possibility, and so gthumb hasn't its main menu in that DE.

Isn't there any way to revert it to visibility?
