I can't get it to compile under Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. It complains :

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.
Alternatively, you may set the environment variables GTHUMB_CFLAGS
and GTHUMB_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.

I previously tried to update so as meeting the requirements, but that resulted in corrupting my system so I had to reinstall.
What do I have to do so it can compile ?
