Ah ok, I see.
I copied all files to /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/
and now I get:
(gthumb:30330): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: Settings schema 'org.gnome.desktop.background' is not installed
you have to install gsettings-desktop-schemas
