[gthumb-list] plans to restore preview pane and file list?

Are there any plans to restore the preview pane and file list as seen in version 2.10? The loss of ability to customise the window layout to a preferred layout is so missed by myself and others that we are downgrading the 2.11.3 version in Ubuntu 10.10 back to gthumb 2.10. I installed 2.12.0 from the webupd8 ppa, but I couldnt find the desired functionality in there either.

While scanning the mailing list archive to try to find if this had been discussed already, I saw a lot of people praising gthumb for it's editing abilities. It is great that so many people are enjoying the program, but hopefully someone can restore it's functionality for those who use it as an image browser.
