Dear List,
I'm using GThumb 2.11.1. The shift-select behavior (clicking images
icons in the Browser while holding the shift key) is different from
that of previous versions.
In previous versions, shift-selecting select all images between two
consequential clicks, in list order. And now, shift-selecting does a
``block selecting'' that include all images in a block whose diagonal
between by two clicks.
For example, we have a list of
image files:
a b c d
e f g h
In previous versions, clicking b, then g, we can select:
a B C D
E F G h
(selected files in capital letters)
But now, shift-clicking b, then g, we select:
a B C d
e F G h
It selects B, C, F, G as in a block.
Is there any way to get the previous shift-select behavior? I find it
very useful on selecting a range of images taking within a range of
time. If not, what's the most easy way to select, say, files between
IMG_0100.JPG and IMG_0125.JPG?
Thank you.
Hi,
I confirm this behavior in both pre 2.11.x and 2.11.x
I agree with you, we should go back to the previous behavior.
I checked in Nautilus, for example, and it's the same behavior as pre 2.11.x
It's true that with the block selection, it's hard to select a range of
images.
Plus there's no more list view as workaround.
It's probably a config in the browser view component.
Paolo will tell us.
Cheers,
Matthias
