Searching all data in plugins

Hi!

Talking with Jussi about search() operation, he told me that it would be
nice to have a way of telling search() that we are interested in all
elements.

So he proposed that empty search can do the job.

So, the idea is that search() using a NULL search criteria will mean
"search all".


If nobody is against it, we will implement implement it. Else, comments
are welcomed.
