Pygoocanvas import - Segmentation fault on OS X

Hi,

I have used macports to install pygoocanvas module (version 0.14.1_6) using the command `sudo port install 
py27-goocanvas`. The installation was successful, however when attempting to import the module in python 
using the command `import goocanvas` immediately results in a seg fault (`Segmentation fault 11`). The 
goocanvas library is not available in pip or conda. How can I workaround this error?

System Details:
OS: Mac OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.5
Python: Python 2.7.11 |Anaconda custom (x86_64)|
