to get it stramlined and regarding some difficulties between gnumerics testsfiles and a 'long-double-enabled' version i made a complete restart from scratch.
that gave the opportunity to run the testsuite against a 'clean' version (git checkout master | git pull origin master | ./WHENCE confect -s gnumeric, ./WHENCE make -s gnumeric, ./WHENCE install -s gnumeric), and gives better test results (cd gnumeric/tests | make check-TESTS) than before, but still some fails.
i can - and will if neccessary - bite through that, but would like to have more time for other things and think a recheck by experienced devs can speed me up.
