Problem with Font height/Row Height

I am in the process of switching from LO to Gnumeric because of the very 
slow operation of LO. The problem I am finding is when I open an .ODS 
file created with LO, the row height is not automatically adjusted to 
match the font height.  There is an "autoformat" option, but it does not 
seem to reference row height.  The lower half of the text is cut off.

Is there a SS wide option to make the row height work with the fond 
used?  I do not use the MS TT fonts, nor do I use MS Excell.
