Hello guys,

I already "solved" the problem. After the reinstallation and remove of 
ubuntu's provided package I typed in gnumeric just for fun in the 
command line and what happened?: gnumeric 1.9.18 started. I think there 
was just some trouble with some libraries or internal links...

Thank you for your efforts. Hopefully the compilation of future versions 
is less difficult.
