with goffice-0.7.3 and gnumeric-1.9.4 you need to compile goffice qitn
--without-gconf to get a .gnumericrc file. There is no more gnome
support in these versions.
I compiled again using "--without-gconf" on debian lenny that is
gnome-free. ./configure said --without-gconf is an invalid option, but
it compiled successfully.
It is an option for goffice, not for gnumeric.:
~/goffice$ ./configure --help|grep gconf
--without-gconf Build without gconf use
Yes, it was for goffices and it gave that warning. I guess the
configure script determined that gconf was not possible from my
environment and when I asserted a superfluous --without-gconf, it gave
a superfluous warning.
gconf is tested only if there is no --without-gconf around. I do not get
that message. Strange.
