Re: Problems with Gnumeric 1.9.4 on x86_64 (Centos 5.2)

I also built it and apparently installed it successfully on my Linux
Centos 5.2 x86_64 box. However, when I open the same spreadsheet, I
cannot see anything because I see little squares where the glyphs
should be. My locale is specified as en_US or C, and I have no font
problems with other programs.

I'm sure I'm missing something but I've passed all the configure tests
with no obvious missing requirements. I've installed the most recent
versions of most of the prereqs.

Any suggestions?

Do you have that problem with all fonts and font sizes installed on your
system?

Obviously gnumeric does not render any glyphs itself. Did you compile
some gtk and pango test programs to see whether those libraries work for
you?

Note that gnumeric works just fine on 64 bit hardware. In fact most
gnumeric developers seem to use 64 bit hardware.
