Build Failure with Version 1.8.4 Source

I'm trying to build version 1.8.4 on Centos 5.2 x86_64 (using
./configure defaults and gcc-4.3.3) and am getting the following
errors when the build fails:

/usr/local/lib64/libgoffice-0.6.so.6: undefined reference to
`gsf_input_gnomevfs_new'
/usr/local/lib64/libgoffice-0.6.so.6: undefined reference to
`gsf_output_gnomevfs_new'

I have looked for those objects in the gsf-gnome libraries (using nm)
and they are not defined (they are there but are undefined).

I have installed libgsf-1.14.11 and goffice-0.6.6 from source and have
used the configure defaults.

Any ideas as to how to fix this?
