help cannot open xml file anymore

Hi,

I just got a prblem with the help in gnumeric. Yesterday it worked just fine. But now when I try to launch 
the help I get a message telling: Le fichier « //usr/share/gnome/help/gnumeric/C/gnumeric.xml » n'a pas pu 
être analysé, car ce n'est pas un document XML correctement formé. which means that the xml file couldn't be 
analyzed because it is not a xml document correctly "formatted".
since this file is own by root (I run gnumeric on fedora 9) I don"t see what is going on. I uninstalled 
gnumeric and then re-installed it but nothing changed.
What could I do ?
I find the help well done so it is really useful
